The Springbank difference is the creativity we add to Nature’s own
When expert floristry is combined with imagination it leaps to another level and becomes storytelling: whether it’s a fairytale wedding, a venue bringing a proud tradition to life or a brand with a strong corporate personality to express.
Meet Springbank’s Creative Director,
Anna-Liisa has a fine art background and worked with top floral designers in Switzerland and London before taking overall creative responsibility at Springbank in 2004.
“When people join our creative team the first thing I tell them is to throw away the rule book. Many of the accepted boundaries of floral design are there to be broken to create the wow factor our clients want. At Springbank, we start not with the design, but with the client’s personality. If it’s a bride, is her vision for the big day traditional or quirky?
If we’re working with a corporate team, understanding the brand identity is everything, so we can capture its personality. Then there’s the issue of maximising the venue we’re given. I encourage all our team members to be brave and never be intimidated by a client brief or venue.
Sometimes it’s better to invest the budget in fewer, big-impact hero pieces than dilute the impression with lots of smaller ones. When people first step into a room we want to take their breath away –the kind of instant wow-factor that imprints itself on the memory long after the event is over. That’s what we’re all about here at Springbank.”
